Role of Mahatma Gandhi in Hanging Bhagat Singh, Rajguru & Sukhdev

On 23rd March, 1931, Bhagat Singh was hanged at the age of 23 along with Rajguru and Sukhdev. He was born on 28th September 1907 in Jaranwala Tehsil, Punjab. He was born in Sikh family and his dream and aim was Indian Independence. He was influenced by  Marxist and anarchist ideologies and gradually gained momentum as a freedom fighter.  He also got good rank in Hindustan Republican association.

What forced Bhagat Singh to become freedom fighter was Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in 1919 where non-violent people were fired without any warning. He visited the site at the age of 12.

Court ordered "Sentence to Death" after a complaint was charged against Bhagat Singh. An appeal of mercy was filed before Lord Irwin 14th February 1931 in Privy Council and same was sent to Mahatma Gandhi. If Mahatma Gandhi had not signed on the hang out documents, then Bhagat Singh would not have been hanged.
